Disciplines of a Godly Man

In the beginning, God created man—male and female, in that order. He created the man from the dust of the earth; He created the woman from the rib of the man. He created the man to govern; He created the woman to be his helper. When God gave commandments regarding what to eat in the garden, He commanded the man. The man had the responsibility to communicate the commands to the woman.

There is an undeniable order in creation. By creating the man first, God did not bestow upon him privileges or superiority, but rather He bestowed responsibility and service. Men have the responsibility of leadership in the home, church, and nation. The proper performance of this duty demands a life of integrity, purity, passion and power that result from following Christ. Only as a man walks with Jesus, his head and master, will he be able to fulfill the role that God has given him.

In this ungodly age there is a clarion call for Godly men. There is a need for men who come not from the school of relativism and humanism, but from the school of Christ. The purpose and intent of this course is to bring men to the awareness of the Biblical responsibility and disciplines of manhood; and as they see their holy call we further desire that they may receive grace to implant the Word and fulfill their God-given duty.

I pray that as you listen to the recordings of this class you will be challenged and inspired to take up your cross and follow Jesus. Make your corner of the world a living illustration of what it means to live under the rule of Christ that you may be salt and light to stem the tide of moral corruption.
